Surah Abasa in Arabic

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
 عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
 أَنْ جَاءَهُ الْأَعْمَىٰ
 وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّىٰ
 أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنْفَعَهُ الذِّكْرَىٰ
 أَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنَىٰ
 فَأَنْتَ لَهُ تَصَدَّىٰ
 وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ
 وَأَمَّا مَنْ جَاءَكَ يَسْعَىٰ
 وَهُوَ يَخْشَىٰ
 فَأَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ
 كَلَّا إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ
 فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ
 فِي صُحُفٍ مُكَرَّمَةٍ
 مَرْفُوعَةٍ مُطَهَّرَةٍ
 بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ
 كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ
 قُتِلَ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ
 مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ
 مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُ
 ثُمَّ السَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُ
 ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُ فَأَقْبَرَهُ
 ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْشَرَهُ
 كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ
 فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِ
 أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبًّا
 ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقًّا
 فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّا
 وَعِنَبًا وَقَضْبًا
 وَزَيْتُونًا وَنَخْلًا
 وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْبًا
 وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَبًّا
 مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ
 فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الصَّاخَّةُ
 يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ
 وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ
 وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ
 لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ
 وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُسْفِرَةٌ
 ضَاحِكَةٌ مُسْتَبْشِرَةٌ
 وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ
 تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ
 أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ

Surah Abasa in English

Meccan Surah ; Verse: 42;  Section: 1

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

(The Prophet) frowned and turned away,

Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).

But what could tell you but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?

Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him?

As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient,

To him dost you attend;

Though it is no blame to you if he grow not (in spiritual understanding).

But as to him who came to you striving earnestly,

And with fear (in his heart),

Of him was you unmindful.

By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction:

Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance.

(It is) in Books held (greatly) in honor,

Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,

(Written) by the hands of scribes-

Honorable and Pious and Just.

Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah;

From what stuff hath He created him?

From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then molded him in due proportions;

Then doth He make His path smooth for him;

Then He caused him to die, and putted him in his grave;

Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).

By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.

Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):

For that We pour forth water in abundance,

And We split the earth in fragments,

And produce therein corn,

And Grapes and nutritious plants,

And Olives and Dates,

And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,

And fruits and fodder,

For use and convenience to you and your cattle.

At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,

That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,

And from his mother and his father,

And from his wife and his children.

Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.

Some faces that Day will be beaming,

Laughing, rejoicing.

And other faces that Day will be dust-stained,

Blackness will cover them:

Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity.

Surah Abasa in Bangla

মাক্কী সূরা ;  আয়াত :5  ; রুকু :1

পরম করুণাময় ও অসীম দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে।

 

সে (নবী) ভ্রুকুঞ্চিত করলাে এবং (বিরক্ত হয়ে) মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলাে, 

কারণ তার সামনে একজন অন্ধ ব্যক্তি এসেছে।

আপনি কি জানতেন- হয়তাে সে (অন্ধ)-ই নিজেকে পরিশুদ্ধ করে নিতাে?

(কিংবা) সে উপদেশ গ্রহণ করতাে,  তা তার জন্যে হয়তাে উপকারীও (প্রমাণিত) হতাে?

(অপরদিকে) যে (হেদায়াতের প্রতি) বেপরােয়াভাব দেখালাে

আপনি তার প্রতিই (বেশী) মনােযােগ প্রদান করলেন;

(অথচ) সে ব্যক্তি যে পরিশুদ্ধ হবে এটা আপনার দায়িত্ব নয়

(অপর দিকে) যে ব্যক্তি (পরিশুদ্ধির জন্যে) আপনার নিকট দৌড়ে আসে,

এবং সে (আল্লাহকে ভয় করে,

আপনি তার থেকেই বিরক্ত হলেন।

কখনােই (এমনটি উচিত) নয়, এ  (কোরআন) হচ্ছে একটি উপদেশ

যে চাইবে সে তা স্মরণ করবে

যা সম্মানিত স্থান (লওহে মাহফুয)-এ (সংরক্ষিত) আছে,

উঁচু মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন ও সমধিক পবিত্র,

এটি সংরক্ষিত থাকে মর্যাদাবান লেখকদের হাতে,

(তারা) মহান ও পূত চরিত্র সম্পন্ন;

মানুষের প্রতি অভিসম্পাত! কোন জিনিস তাকে (আল্লাহকে) অস্বীকার করালাে?

আল্লাহ পাক কোন বস্তু থেকে তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন; (সে কি দেখলাে না?)

তিনি তাকে এক বিন্দু শুক্র থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তিনি তার (দেহে সব কিছুর) পরিমাণ নির্ধারণ করেছেন, 

অতঃপর তিনি তার চলার পথ সহজ করে দিয়েছেন, 

এরপর তিনি তাকে মৃত্যু দিয়েছেন, অতঃপর তাকে কবরে রেখেছেন,

অতঃপর তিনি যখন চাইবেন তাকে পুনরায় জীবিত করবেন;

কোন সন্দেহ নেই তাকে যা আদেশ করা হয়েছে তা সে পালন করেনি।

মানুষ তার আহারের দিকেও একবার তাকিয়ে দেখুক (কতগুলাে স্তর অতিক্রম করে এই খাবার তার সামনে এসেছে),

এর জন্য আমি (শুকনাে জমিতে) প্রচুর পরিমাণ পানি ঢেলেছি, 

এরপর যমীনকে বিদীর্ণ করেছি,

(অতঃপর) তাতে উৎপন্ন করেছি শস্যদানা,

আংগুরের থােকা ও রকমারি তরতাজা শাকসজি, 

(আরাে উৎপন্ন করেছি) যায়তুন ও খেজুর (সহ বিভিন্ন ধরনের ফলমূল), 

(আরাে রয়েছে) শ্যামল ঘন বাগান,

(তাতে) উৎপন্ন করেছি ফলমূল ও ঘাস, 

(এ সবই) তােমাদের এবং তােমাদের গৃহপালিত জন্তু-জানােয়ারের উপকার ও উপভােগের জন্যে;

অতঃপর যখন বিকট একটি আওয়াজ আসবে (তখন এসব আয়ােজন শেষ হয়ে যাবে), 

সেদিন মানুষ তার নিজ ভাইয়ের কাছ থেকে পালাতে থাকবে,

(পালাতে থাকবে) তার নিজের মা থেকে, নিজের বাপ থেকে, 

সহধর্মিনী থেকে, (এমন কি) তার ছেলেমেয়েদের থেকেও। 

সেদিন তাদের প্রত্যেকের জন্যেই পরিস্থিতি এমন (ভয়াবহ) হবে যে, তাই তার (ব্যস্ততার) জন্য যথেষ্ট হবে;

কিছু সংখ্যক (মানুষের) চেহারা সেদিন উজ্জ্বল হবে,

তারা সহাস্য ও প্রফুল্ল থাকবে।

(অপর দিকে) সেদিন কিছু সংখ্যক চেহারা (কুৎসিত) হবে, তার ওপর (যেন) ধুলাবালি পড়ে থাকবে, 

মলিনতায় তা (সম্পূর্ণ) ছেয়ে যাবে,

এ লােকগুলােই হচ্ছে (কিতাব) অস্বীকারকারী এবং এরাই হচ্ছে পাপিষ্ঠ।
